Sri Suparyati, SH., LL.M

Founder and Advocate

Sri Suparyati is a Lawyer and consultant in the field of human rights. She is a civil society and Advocacy specialist at human rights field with more than 15 years of experience. Her expertise, active and interest in litigation, criminal, banking, family and land, human rights advocacy at national and international level, research, investigation and management of organization. She is a member active of Indonesian Advocates Association (Peradi) RBA under the division of Women and Children protection dealing with Ministry of women and children. She holds a master’s degree in law from University of Hull, Graduate School of Law, United Kingdom.

She took some trainings related with human rights issue. She took fellowship on transitional justice in South Africa in 2000, appearing at US Congress to deliver on human rights situasion in Indonesia, 2010. She served as deputy coordinator for KontraS (Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence), led the organization’s department tasked with monitoring and oversight of human rights cases e.q civil and political rights (torture, Enforced disappearance, arbitrary detention etc), advocacy and campaign for human rights issue. She played a leading role in various legal advocacy establishing and running the commission of public information for the case of Munir, Citizen law suit for the case of Nunukan, Kalimantan and other strategic cases in Indonesia. She was the treasurer at Regional organization of AFAD (Asian Federation against Involuntary Disappearance) based in Philipine with more than 15 members in Asia. She had been council member of AFAD for 10 years.
